Our FODI DINOSAUR PICNIC and FOSSIL TALKS are here!
Date and time: 22nd August 2026 16:00 start.
Venue: Outside Dinosaur Isle Museum.
Outdoor talks by FODI trustees and museum staff with handling fossil specimens followed by food. Confirmed speakers so far: Martyn Hornett (FODI Chair), Simon Penn (Museum preparator), David Button (Museum head curator), Jeremy Lockwood (FODI trustee).
Speakers will be giving 10-15 minute "lightning" talks on some fossils which will then be shown or passed round the audience.
Food will include hotdogs (vegan option included), New York Style fried onions, Sauerkraut, and a selection of sauces, with doughnuts for dessert.
We kindly ask that you:
-Bring your own drink and camping chair(s) if you have them.
-Ensure children remain under the supervision of their parent or responsible accompanying adult at all times.
Cost £8 non-members, £5 members.
